There was a time when my days were filled with adventure—three seasons of dog sledding in northern Sweden, years of traveling with my two dogs, always chasing the wild and the unknown.

Being outside wasn’t just a hobby; it was my way of life.

Now, I live in a town. My days are spent indoors more than ever, especially since I’ve started taking my art seriously. I don’t go on epic journeys or sleep under the stars as often.

Some days, I wonder—can I still call myself a "nature person" if I’m not out there all the time?

But then I realized: my relationship with nature hasn’t faded; it’s just changed. It’s deeper now.

I don’t need grand adventures to feel connected. I find nature in small, everyday moments—a quiet walk with my dog, the way sunlight dances through the trees, the smell of trees in the forest.

So if you feel like you’ve drifted from nature, know this: you don’t have to climb mountains to belong to the wild. Look up at the sky, breathe it all in.

Nature is still here, always waiting.

Wool is seriously underrated! I’ve been slowly switching over to natural materials on all my undergarments. Merino t-shirts in particular are a game-changer for me! They’re warm, breathable, and don’t leave you feeling like you’re trapped in a sauna (unlike synthetics).

In a bit colder weather, wool sweaters are my go-to. Breathability is my top priority and you can't convince me to wear synthetic fleese anymore, however fluffy and soft they are. Wool sweaters are TOP TIER!

I actually have a favorite wool sweater that’s been with me since 2019—I've worn it on ALL of my big trips, winter walks, and endless adventures. Over time, it’s worn a little thin, especially under the arms, but instead of tossing it, I’ve repaired it. Last year I knitted myself new cuffs!

Just today, I gave it another quick fix—it took me 15 minutes to patch the underarms, and now it’s ready for another year of wear. And honestly, that’s the beauty of repairing your clothes. Instead of buying new, why not give your favorite pieces a second (or third) life? Patches, stitching, or even a bit of creative mending can keep your clothes going strong.

The cabin that we picked for our recent creative getaway was so inspiring that I wanted to paint it. I imagined how the little house would look in the summer time, surrounded by lush greenery... I love winter, but oh man how hard it is without the snow (that we really haven't had here in Estonia) 🥲 So here I am, dreaming of summer time! Who would have thought that I'd be the one waiting for the winter to end 🤷‍♀️😀

A Creative Getaway.

It's now one of my favourite new tradition we made for ourselves with my girlfriend. A promise to nurture our endless creative ideas and give time and space for them to grow.

The first time I was about to run a painting workshop outside, teaching people, I was hesitant.

I didn't know if I had enough content to teach others.
I did’t know if I was going to like it. What if I just wanted to paint by myself and trying to teach would be a big mistake?

Well, it turns out, I LOVED every second of it!

What became fascinating for me throughout different workshops was to witness many people having old traumas (mostly from art classes at school) and limiting beliefs around their creativity and then slowly and gradually letting go of those and finding their flow.

It has become one of my missions now to help people realise that EVERYONE is creative! It gives me such pleasure to see people on their journey of self-discovery.

I promise, art is for everyone, so if you feel hesitant, a little unsure, come and join me on any of my workshops - I think you might be surprised!

🎨After that I will be teaching you how to paint that spirit animal onto paper with watercolors! No prior experience is needed and I will quarantee that everyone will go jome with at least one beautiful picture 😊

🐦Who is a spirit animal, you might ask? Think of your spirit animal as a guardian spirit or spirit guide. It can play the role of protector and provides guidance, advice, lessons, power and wisdom. It's a beautiful way to connect with the nature that we are a part of and learn more about ourselves.

What an amazing Saturday we had! The launch party for my art studio was a huge success and thank you all who came to celebrate it!

My favourite part of it was doing the mini workshop demo where we did some Christmas cards. My heart absolutely exploded with joy and happiness when I saw the parents and kids making art along each other and when I saw BOTH were actually enjoying the process I knew - I need to make more of these child-parent (or grandparent/aunt/uncle/big sister/brother) kind of events. What a beautiful way to spend quality time together! Who wants to join? ☺️

Last weekend I got to spend 2,5 days with 40 amazing women from Latvia and Estonia to hike, enjoy the autumn, and share knowledge around the campfire. And I had the privilege to teach TWO workshops!

The first was "How to hike with your dog" and I was sure the allotted time of 3 hours was too much for us. Turned out the time went flying by as there was so much to discuss - dog breeds, preparation and training, first aid, and of course - dog gear! 😄

The second workshop was creativity hike with watercolors and although we had a bit of rain, that didn't stop us letting our inner artist out! It's my favourite thing in the world to show people how to observe nature thru painting. And my second favourite thing in the world is seeing how women get so engrossed in the activity, forgetting childhood art class traumas, and just letting the art come.

Thank you everyone who came and hopefully we'll see again next year 😉
